Project Walkthrough - Somerville Porch Repair and Demolition
While working on another project at this site, we noticed a structurally unsafe three-story rear porch and immediately notified the homeowner. It was decided to demolish the existing porch, rebuild a small side entry, and seal up the old entrances, both interior and exterior.
With permits in place, we worked to demolish the porch. Each level was patched before demolition to ensure efficiency and as little tenant disruption as possible.
Side porch was built using correct footings and up to all current safety standards. We worked with the homeowner on a window installation, which was necessary but out of scope. Completed interior and exterior patching.
Entire project was completed in under a month, fully permitted and safety compliant. Successfully aided the homeowner in avoiding a tenant safety issue at an affordable price, with a very quick turnaround.
